Recalling the time of battling epilepsy, Shefali told ETimes when I was 15 years old.
That’s when I had my first seizure and living with epilepsy for a decade was a challenge. Mood and anxiety disorders affected school work and social functioning. It was impossible to express the feelings of despair and helplessness at that age. My self-esteem was so low. But as I grew up. New challenges emerged. The stress of having a seizure at an inappropriate time and place was always looming on my mind. Especially after Kaanta Laga, when I was shooting, during that time I was very troubled by this disease.
