The National MSC Medical Teachers Association had a special meeting with Health Minister JP Nadda. During this, a special discussion was held with the medical teachers regarding many challenges, especially the rules of the ‘National Medical Commission’. The National MSC Medical Teachers Association (NMMTA) met Health Minister JP Nadda and discussed the major challenges affecting medical teachers. Especially in relation to the regulations by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The meeting was attended by NMMTA President Dr. Arjun Maitra and Secretary Dr. Ayan Das. In which issues related to shortage of staff in medical colleges and the adverse effect of NMC regulations on MSC and PhD instructors were discussed. The association has also issued a press release. Emphasis on NMC policy reforms
Dr Maitra and Dr Das emphasised the need for changes in NMC policies, citing the increasing reliance on legal interventions by educators as an impediment to improving medical education. They said many members of the association have found themselves resorting to costly and time-consuming legal interventions to deal with the challenges posed by these regulations.

During this, there was an open discussion about the problems and difficulties caused by the NMC rules. NMMTA officials spoke openly about the discriminatory status of MMC. Also, it was told that the association and its members have to unnecessarily resort to costly and time-consuming legal intervention. Dr. Arjun Maitra expressed confidence in the ability of the ministry to take fair decisions for the wider interest.
