Amit Malviya on Telangana Govt: Hyderabad Police has imposed a ban on meetings and processions in the city till November 28, due to which BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya condemned the Telangana government, calling it an Aurangzeb-like move. BJP leader Amit Malviya termed this step of Telangana government as ‘anti-Hindu’.
While sharing a copy of the order of Telangana government on social media, it was written that the Congress led government is stopping Hindus from celebrating their festivals. Even on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, the Congress administration in Hyderabad stopped Hindus from celebrating the festival without giving any valid reason.
‘Ban imposed on celebrating Diwali’
Malviya further wrote, “Acting like Aurangzeb, the Congress government of Telangana has banned the celebration of Diwali from 27 October to 28 November 2024 by imposing a ban under Section 144, under which there is a ban on holding meetings and processions in Telangana. Hindus have been repeatedly denied the right to worship”.
‘Government is stopping Hindus from celebrating festivals’
He said that earlier in April, Hyderabad Police had refused permission to BJP MLA T Raja Singh to take out Ram Navami Shobha Yatra in the city. The anti-Hindu Congress, which has been shameless in condemning Sanatan Dharma, openly supporting ally DMK’s call for abolition of Sanatan, is now actively preventing Hindus from celebrating their festivals.
The ban will continue till November 28
In fact, Hyderabad Police has imposed a month-long ban on processions, dharnas, rallies and public meetings in Hyderabad city from October 27 to November 28, 2024, till 6 pm. According to the police, its objective is to maintain peace and order in the city. Gatherings have been banned in the order, but peaceful protests have been allowed at Indira Park Dharna Chowk. Strict restrictions have been imposed on protests or gatherings near sensitive areas like the Secretariat, violators will be prosecuted under applicable laws.
