Faf du Plessis: The 41st match of IPL 2024 was played at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. In this match, the competition was between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore. This was the 8th match of Sunrisers, while this was the 9th match of Royal Challengers. After facing many consecutive defeats, Bengaluru got victory in the 9th match. After this victory, Bengaluru captain Faf du Plessis said that he will sleep peacefully tonight.

Du Plessis expressed happiness after the 35-run win against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL on Thursday. He said- “In the last two matches, we have fought well. Hyderabad had scored more than 270 runs, we scored 260 runs. Against Kolkata also we lost by just 1 run. We were getting close for a long time, but It is important to register a win so that the team can have a good night’s sleep tonight.”

Du Plessis further said, “You cannot instill confidence in the team just by talking. You cannot show off. Confidence comes only through performance.”

At the same time, Du Plessis is also happy that not only Kohli but other batsmen are also scoring runs. He said, “Every team in IPL is very strong. If you do not give 100% then you have to face defeat. Now more batsmen are scoring runs. In the first half of the tournament, only Virat was scoring runs. Silver Patidar scoring runs now is very good for the team.”

Hyderabad had come to play its 8th match on its home ground. In this match, Bengaluru scored 206 runs by losing 7 wickets in 20 overs and gave the target of 207 runs to Hyderabad. Rajat Patidar batted brilliantly in this innings. He scored 50 runs in 20 balls, which included 2 fours and 5 sixes.

In reply, Hyderabad was seen faltering. Sunrisers could score only 171 runs after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. After which Royal Challengers won the match by 35 runs.
