A 36-year-old Canadian woman suffered a serious condition after a night out with friends. Actually, a woman from Toronto went out on a night out with her friends. During this, he drank vodka heavily. After drinking vodka, the woman fainted. But when she woke up, she was stunned to see her condition. He noticed that the size of his foot had doubled. In a hurry, the woman called an ambulance and got herself admitted to the hospital.
After several X-rays and tests, it was found that he had ‘compartment syndrome’. This is a condition in which the pressure in the muscle tissues of the body increases. The woman kept lying in the same position for the whole night by putting pressure on her legs, due to which the flow of blood stopped. Due to the lack of oxygen and nutrients in the body, muscles and nerve cells start getting injured, due to which the affected part of the body starts rotting.
Doctor did life saving operation
Surgeons at Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto performed a life-saving operation on the woman. In which they cut open his left leg. To reduce swelling and prevent toxins from entering the bloodstream, he cut the muscles. After the operation, surgeons removed skin from the woman’s thigh and transplanted it to fix the lower part of the leg. The woman was discharged from the hospital after five weeks and was told to remain on bed rest for three more weeks. The woman was also instructed to take heavy painkillers for one year. This incident is a warning that people should avoid sleeping immediately after drinking alcohol.
