Dinesh Karthik Tweet for Varun Chakravarthy: The form of the Indian T20 team is going very well. Even though the Indian team could not defend the small score in the second T20 match against South Africa, the bowlers of the Indian team bowled well. Now demands are being raised regarding Varun that he should be given a place in the Champions Trophy team, for which Dinesh Karthik also tweeted.

Former Indian wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has given an important statement regarding the selectors of the Indian team. He has said that mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty should be given a place in the team for the Champions Trophy to be held in 2025. Karthik posted a message on social media platform X that Varun is currently in the best form of his career and not selecting him could prove to be a ‘big mistake’.

Dinesh Karthik said in his post- “If the Indian team does not select Varun Chakraborty for the Champions Trophy 2025, it will be a big mistake. He has emerged as a brilliant bowler and it would not be right to ignore his performance.”

Varun returned after a long time
Varun Chakraborty made a comeback in the T20 International series against Bangladesh after a long time and made an important contribution for the team. Varun did not get a chance in the team after the 2021 T20 World Cup held in UAE, but his performance in IPL 2024 forced the selectors to select him. In the IPL, Chakraborty performed well for Kolkata Knight Riders and took the most wickets and played a key role in making his team the champion.
