PM Modi On Speech Petrol Prices: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech on petrol and diesel in the capital Bhopal, the people of Madhya Pradesh are still hopeful that there will be a reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel in the state as per the Prime Minister’s statement. The Shivraj government is definitely thinking about reducing the tax, but the economic burden due to this cannot be ignored.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said during the general meeting in Bhopal that where there is a BJP government in the country, the price of petrol and diesel is less than ₹100 per litre. He even took the names of many BJP ruled states including Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana. Apart from this, it was also said that where there is a Congress government, the state governments increased their VAT tax without giving the benefit of reduction in excise duty by the central government to the public.
Giving examples of some states including Rajasthan, Kerala, he said that the price of petrol there is ₹ 108 to ₹ 110 per litre. After the statement of the Prime Minister, the Congressman fiercely attacked the Shivraj government. Even now the opposition parties are targeting the BJP on social media. On the other hand, the Shivraj government is thinking in the direction of reducing the price by reducing VAT. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also asked Finance Minister Jagdish Deora to make a complete report in this matter.
29% VAT is being charged
Madhya Pradesh is included in those states of the country where 29% VAT tax is being charged on the prices of petrol and diesel. This is the reason why the prices of petrol and diesel are the highest in Madhya Pradesh in comparison to BJP ruled states. If the government cuts VAT tax, then its direct economic burden will fall on the government. Although the price of petrol can also come within ₹ 100 per liter.
109 to ₹ 115 per liter petrol price
Although the prices of petrol and diesel are different in different districts of Madhya Pradesh, but in general, if we talk about petrol, the price of petrol is around ₹ 108.98 per liter, if power petrol is taken then it is around ₹ 115.87 per liter. According to the policy of the government, the prices of petrol and diesel are changed daily, but the price of petrol is not within ₹ 100 in any district of Madhya Pradesh.
BJP bid – reduced VAT tax twice, Congress attacker
According to Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav, the BJP government always works keeping in mind the poor and middle class families. The state government of BJP has reduced VAT tax twice. If required, further steps can be taken to reduce the prices of petrol. On the other hand, according to Congress MLA Mahesh Parmar, the manner in which the announcement of Rs 15,00,000 coming into the account was made by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi In order to win the elections, similarly the public has understood the jumla of petrol prices being within ₹ 100 in Madhya Pradesh.
Inflation connection with petrol and diesel prices
Diesel price in Madhya Pradesh is around ₹ 93 per liter. Fuel prices directly affect inflation. If fuel prices are low, then transportation also seems to be less, due to which the prices of goods are affected. This is the reason why the price of petrol and diesel directly affects the inflation of the entire market.
People’s expectation from the government
According to Govind Khandelwal, the public’s expectation from the government is still tied. Even today people are feeling that the price of petrol will definitely come down. According to marble trader Kishore Jain, if fuel is less than the team, then there will be less inflation and business will increase. Shivraj government will definitely give a gift in the election year. According to Eclipse Sonakshi Sharma, the government will definitely reduce the price of petrol to control inflation.
