Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024: Seat sharing formula has been announced between JMM, Congress, RJD and Left parties under INDIA block in Jharkhand. Meanwhile, RJD leader Manoj Jha has expressed disappointment on the issue of seat sharing. He said that the decision of JMM and Congress is one-sided. He claimed that we have identified 15 to 18 such seats, where perhaps we alone are capable of defeating BJP.
He said, “All options are open because it does not seem appropriate for any political party to move forward ignoring the sentiments of its leaders and workers.” Our (RJD) entire leadership is here. A meeting was held this morning and in that meeting it was found that the strength is of the mass base which is in favor of RJD.
Our aim is to defeat BJP- Manoj Jha
RJD leader Manoj Jha further said, “Last time we fought on 7 seats because Lalu Yadav had a big heart.” Our aim was to remove BJP, which is still the case today. It is sad to say that a one-sided decision was taken. Our presence in different districts is very strong. We will ask our alliance partners to take decisions accordingly.
Why did Manoj Jha express his displeasure over seat sharing?
The RJD leader also said that since yesterday our Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav is in Ranchi, the National Principal General Secretary is here. He said, “Despite all the people being there, if you did not involve us in the process of forming the alliance, then it is saddening.” Suffering also happens because our strength is probably too much.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, while announcing in a press conference, said that under the alliance, candidates of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress will contest on 70 seats, while candidates of RJD and Left parties will contest on the remaining 11 seats. Let us tell you that elections for 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand will be held in two phases on 13th and 20th November, while the counting of votes will take place on 23rd November.
