Defamation Case: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said that he will file a defamation case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over a tweet related to Adani Group. Sarma held a press conference in Guwahati and said that the defamation case would be taken up with the Prime Minister on April 14. Narendra Modi Will be filed after visit to Guwahati.
CM Himanta Sarma said, whatever Rahul Gandhi has tweeted is derogatory. We will reply after the Prime Minister leaves the state. “Definitely a defamation case will be filed in Guwahati,” he said.

Quoting former Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi’s tweet, Sarma had earlier tweeted, “It was our decency that we never asked you where you hid the proceeds of crime earned from the Bofors and National Herald scams? And you How has Ottavio Quattrocchi been allowed to escape the clutches of Indian justice so many times? No one, we will meet in court.” Prime Minister Modi will come to Guwahati to participate in many programs.
