Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Supreme Court will on Tuesday consider the possibility of granting interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in view of the Lok Sabha elections. In fact, the court will consider on Tuesday whether to grant interim bail to current Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal when it will hear his petition challenging his arrest in a money laundering case related to the Delhi Liquor Policy.
The bench of Supreme Court Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta had said in its last hearing that it would hear the interim bail petition on Tuesday. The court has asked the investigating agency Enforcement Directorate and Arvind Kejriwal’s lawyer to be ready. Let us tell you that whether Kejriwal, who is still in custody during the Lok Sabha elections, will be able to campaign during the remaining phases of the elections or not, it will depend on the outcome of the Supreme Court proceedings.
ED had arrested on March 21
A bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta will hear the AAP leader’s petition as the first matter. Let us tell you that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 and currently he is lodged in Tihar Jail under judicial custody.

Counting of votes will take place on June 4
It is noteworthy that voting for 7 Lok Sabha seats of Delhi will be held on May 25. Whereas, the votes will be counted on June 4.
