Kirandeep Kaur Meets Amritpal Singh: Wife Kirandeep Kaur met Amritpal Singh, chief of ‘Waris Punjab De’ and pro-Khalistan, in Assam’s Dibrugarh Central Jail on Thursday (May 4). Officials told that she entered the jail premises at around 1 pm and came out at 3.25 pm. Kaur had come by plane and will stay in Dibrugarh today.
A senior jail official said that apart from Amritpal’s wife, family members of other activists of ‘Waris Punjab De’ also met the inmates at the Dibrugarh Central Jail. with Kirandeep Kaur Neeru Kalsi, wife of Amritpal’s associate Daljit Singh Kalsi, and his son Simranjit Kalsi were also there.
When was Amritpal Singh arrested?
Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh was arrested by the Punjab Police from Mog on Sunday (April 23). After this he was brought by flight to Dibrugarh Jail in Assam. Apart from him, 10 more people of his group are also imprisoned here. It is believed that Dibrugarh Jail is one of the most secure jails.
