Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar asked Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan that a promise was made to the farmers, why was that promise not kept? While speaking from the public platform, the Vice President said, "Why are farmers not being talked to? What are we doing to keep the promise?" The Vice President said that this time is painful for him, because last year also there was a farmers’ movement and this year also the voice of the farmers is being raised. He also raised questions on the attitude of the Central Government and said that it would be a mistake to make a limited assessment of this movement.
Jagdeep Dhankhar looked at Shivraj Singh Chauhan from the stage and said in a questioning tone, "I request you, the person holding the second position under the Constitution of India is requesting you, please tell me what was promised to the farmers? What was promised? Why was the promise not kept? What are we doing to keep the promise? There was a movement last year also, this year also there is a movement. The cycle is running and we are doing nothing."
‘The voice of farmers cannot be suppressed’
The Vice President also said that the voice of farmers cannot be suppressed. Farmers say that wherever the administration and police try to stop them, they will sit there indefinitely. Meanwhile, about one lakh farmers from Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority area are ready to march to Delhi on December 2, 2024. Regarding this march of farmers, Noida Police has diverted traffic on many routes and issued advisories. Farmers have started this movement for their various demands, and they say that they will continue the movement until their problems are resolved.
