“I challenge you (PM Modi). When Bipin Rawat died here, what important work did you have in Delhi? Were you in any foreign land? No,” the DMK leader said during the election campaign in the Nilgiris. But it was CM MK Stalin who reached here and paid his respects.”
‘Don’t teach us patriotism’
In his speech, Raja said that we should not claim that we do not speak Hindi. PM Modi should not teach us patriotism. BJP’s patriotism is for those who speak a particular religion and language. He said that Tamil Nadu will not support this kind of patriotism.

Voting will be held in the first phase for 39 Lok Sabha seats of Tamil Nadu on 19 April. MK Stalin again trusts A Raja, the sitting MP from Nilgiris and has made him the candidate from this seat.
It is noteworthy that on December 8, 2021, a helicopter crashed near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. In this helicopter, the then Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and 11 other people were traveling in the Mi-17V5 helicopter of the Air Force.
