Why RCB Not Use RTM For Mohammed Siraj: The mega auction for IPL 2025 took place on 24 and 25 November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Earlier on November 1, IPL teams had released the retention list, in which everyone was surprised by the absence of one name. That name was Mohammad Siraj. Royal Challengers Bangalore did not retain Mohammed Siraj for IPL 2025. Siraj was playing for Bengaluru since IPL 2018.
When Gujarat Titans bid on Mohammed Siraj in the IPL Mega Auction 2025 and Royal Challengers Bangalore did not use the Right to Match card for him, the fans were also surprised. Due to this, Gujarat Titans included Siraj in their team by making a huge bid of ₹ 12.25 crore, after which the fans of Bengaluru and Siraj were surprised. Many questions were raised on this decision, which were answered by Royal Challengers Bangalore Director of Cricket Mo Bobt in a recent interview given to ESPNcricinfo.
Mo Bobat told that the team took the decision of not retaining Mohammad Siraj very thoughtfully. He said, “Siraj has performed brilliantly for RCB and the decision to release him was very difficult for us. But our priority in the mega auction was to include Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the team. Bhuvi was at the top of our list, and we decided to buy him.” We had to take strategic decisions.”
He further said, “Many times your decisions in the auction depend on the circumstances. We thought that we would be able to get Bhuvi, but the order of the auction and the spending plan was such that we could not use the Right to Match card for Siraj.” Could.”
Mohammed Siraj, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2018 to 2024, took 83 wickets in 87 matches and played an important role in the success of the team.
