Pager Blast in Lebanon: The way pager explosions took place in Lebanon on Tuesday afternoon has shocked not only Hezbollah fighters but the entire world. Suddenly pagers started exploding in Lebanon, due to which thousands of Hezbollah fighters were injured simultaneously. This attack was so big that 9 people lost their lives and more than 3 thousand people were injured. Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon has also been injured.

According to the AFP report, Hezbollah fighters use pagers instead of mobile phones to avoid Israeli attacks. But they had no idea that their enemy Israel has an intelligence agency like Mossad. Mossad turned even the pagers, which are considered to be very backward in technology, into explosives. Experts believe that these pagers were tampered with before delivery, which caused them to explode simultaneously at specific times.

Hezbollah blames Israel
For some time after the pager attack, Hezbollah could not understand what was happening. Later, Hezbollah issued a statement blaming Israel for the attack and talked about taking revenge. A source close to Hezbollah told AFP on the condition of anonymity that the pagers in which the explosions took place were imported by Hezbollah recently. It is being said that these were tampered with.

Explosion caused by increasing battery temperature
Sky News Arabia quoted sources as saying that the pagers had reached Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad before being given to Hezbollah extremists. The source said that Mossad had placed a large amount of explosives on the batteries of the pagers. On Tuesday, these pagers were hacked and the temperature of the batteries was increased, due to which thousands of pagers exploded simultaneously.

Hezbollah had banned the use of mobile phones
Al Jazeera quoted a Lebanese security source as saying that all pagers had less than 20 grams of explosives. The pagers that were exploded were recently purchased by Hezbollah. Hezbollah leader Nasrallah had recently advised the leaders of the organization not to use mobile phones, after which pagers were ordered. But the pager was also hacked by Mossad and it was exploded.
