Arrah Road Accident: In a road accident in Arrah, Bihar, mother and son died on the spot while the husband and the other son were injured. The incident took place on Thursday near Jhalku Nagar turn of Koilwar police station area. Regarding the incident, it is being told that the woman was going to Patna on a bike with her husband and two sons. As soon as the bike hit the breaker on the way, the woman and her 7-month-old son fell on the road. Before people could understand anything, the truck coming from behind crushed both of them, while the father riding the bike and his other son were seriously injured.
Truck driver absconded from the spot
Local people admitted the injured father and son to Koilavar PHC for treatment. There was an atmosphere of chaos for a long time at the spot regarding the incident. After the incident, the driver left the truck and fled from the spot. According to the information received, the deceased include 28-year-old wife Ruby Devi and 7-month-old son of Dhananjay Manjhi, resident of Salalpur village of Parsa Bazar police station area of Patna district, while the injured include 35-year-old Dhananjay Manjhi and his two-year-old son Chandan Kumar.
Villagers became angry
After the incident the local villagers became angry. Angry villagers blocked the road near Jhalku Nagar turn on Ara-Chhapra four lane, demanding compensation. During the road jam, angry villagers vandalized the truck. Due to road blockage, there were long queues of vehicles on both sides of the road and traffic came to a complete standstill.
Police cleared the jam by convincing people
At the same time, as soon as information about the road jam was received, SDPO Ranjit Kumar Singh reached the spot with his team. After a lot of effort and assurance from the police, they convinced the people and got the jam removed. After this, the police took the dead bodies in their custody and sent them to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
In the same case, Koilavar police station incharge Narottam Chandra said that due to breaker near Jhalku Nagar turn, the woman sitting behind the bike, Ruby Devi, and the 7-month-old son in her lap both fell on the road. During this time, a truck coming from behind crushed both of them, due to which both of them died on the spot.
