Shakib Al Hasan England County Championship: Former Bangladesh cricket team captain Shakib Al Hasan recently made a significant contribution in the Test series win against Pakistan. After that he went to England via Dubai, where he is playing for Surrey County in the County Championship. Meanwhile, Shakib played the 106th match of his first-class career, in which he has set a special record of wickets.
Before the match played between Somerset and Surrey, Shakib Al Hasan had taken 342 wickets in his first-class career. In the first innings of this match being played in England, Shakib took 4 wickets and then in the second innings he took 5 wickets and achieved a historic feat. With this, Shakib has now touched the figure of 350 wickets in first-class cricket. Due to his contribution, Somerset’s second innings was reduced to just 224 runs.
Murder case is going on in Bangladesh
In fact, when Shakib Al Hasan was playing a Test series in Pakistan, a person named Rafikul Islam had filed a murder case against him. In the FIR lodged by Rafikul, it was stated that Shakib Al Hasan was also involved in the death of his son Rubel during the ongoing student protests in Bangladesh on 7 August.
The statement of Bangladesh Cricket Board also came out on this subject. In the statement issued by the board, it was told that a notice has been received regarding the murder charges against Shakib, but for now Shakib will continue to play cricket. The board had clarified that until the charges against Shakib are proven, he will not be stopped from playing. Shakib Al Hasan has also been given a place in the squad for the Test series against India starting on 19 September. In such a situation, it is possible that he will fly directly from England to India.
