Darbhanga News: There has been a deadly attack by the local people on the police of Laheriasarai police station of Darbhanga district, in which two sub-inspectors and a constable have been seriously injured. During the attack, an attempt was also made to snatch the government pistol from Sub Inspector RK Dubey and Amit Kumar. The condition of injured constable Nitish Kumar is said to be critical. Actually, the police had come to arrest Warranty, who was absconding from Samastipur court in the dowry harassment case.

Two sub inspectors and one constable injured

Seeing the police action, the local people got into a tussle with the police. First the police were taken hostage and then attacked with bricks and stones. During this, the attackers freed the arrested accused Jitendra Kumar from police custody and drove him away. Both the sub-inspectors injured in the attack are undergoing treatment in DMCH.

It is said that the police, who had gone to seize the case against Jitendra Kumar from Samastipur Family Court, saw the accused and arrested him. During this time, the local people surrounded the policemen of the police station from all sides and attacked them by pelting stones, in which two sub-inspectors and a constable were seriously injured. Sadar DSP Amit Kumar, who was present on the spot, said that during this time the police fired one round in self-defense. He said that some people have been detained. Both the warrantees have also been arrested.

Injured Sub Inspector RK Dubey told that he had gone to arrest Jitendra Kumar in Abhanda locality of Laheriyasarai police station area to arrest the warrant issued from Samastipur court. During this time, the local people started protesting and within no time people started pelting stones, in which two of us sub-inspectors got seriously injured.

Regarding the incident, Sadar DSP Amit Kumar said that the police of Laheriasarai police station had gone to arrest the warranty. During this time, the family members of the first accused together attacked the police, chased away the accused and made a fatal attack on the police. Two sub-inspectors and a constable have been seriously injured in the attack. He said that stones were also pelted at the police. Some people have been detained in this case. Both the warrantees have been arrested.
