When Shakti Kapoor started crying bitterly on the set because of Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan Prank With Shakti Kapoor: There are some celebs in Bollywood who are known for their pranks. He pulls such pranks on people on the sets which seem so real and sometimes people even cry because of that. Amitabh Bachchan also comes in the list of prank actors of Bollywood. Amitabh Bachchan had done such a prank on Shakti Kapoor during the shooting of the film Satte Pe Satta that the actor started crying bitterly. Shakti Kapoor himself had once revealed this.

Shakti Kapoor has not only always played villain roles but he has also tried his hand in comedy. Shakti had worked with Amitabh Bachchan in the film Satte Pe Satta. This film was released in 1982.

Shakti Kapoor narrated the story
In a special conversation with Digital Commentary, Shakti Kapoor had told that earlier he used to be very protective about his scenes and lines. However, because of his attitude, Amitabh Bachchan and other actors had planned to pull a prank together. There were seven actors with him in the film due to which he was feeling a little unsure. Because of which he went to director Raj N Sippy. Raj N Sippy told him that he was also as talented as Amitabh Bachchan.

Shakti Kapoor further told that ‘We were shooting the song Dukki Pe Dukki Ho. It was the second line in my song. When I was waiting for my queue, I saw Amitabh Bachchan speaking my lines in my place. I felt that if Amitabh was speaking my dialogues, my career was over. I thought he was a star and could do anything. He took my dialogues. After that I went straight to the directors and told them – they spoke my dialogues. The remaining six actors were sitting behind and as soon as they saw me crying, they started clapping and said – You are joking. The camera is not working. He felt that Shakti Kapoor was very serious about his lines and scenes. After that Amitabh Bachchan asked the director to give me an extra shot. He said- ‘Otherwise he will die.’
