PM Modi Interview: Prime minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) on Wednesday on the security lapse in Punjab’s Ferozepur last month said that it is not appropriate to comment on this subject right now. On the question of security lapse in an interview given to news agency ANI, he said, “I have kept complete silence on this subject. The Supreme Court itself is looking into this matter seriously. We should wait till then.”

PM Modi said, “The program got delayed. Me and my driver were together. Unfortunately my car broke down. At that time the ambassador car was old. He told me that if you don’t mind, then you stop here. There is a hut in the field, stay here, eat here. Stay overnight. Sardar family. The way he handled me and told me to go only in the morning. He came to know that I am the leader of BJP, then he said that whatever is there, stop here. I stopped. In the morning his son brought the mechanic. I have seen the heart of Punjab. I know the spirit of Sardar.

The Prime Minister said, “Many Sardar families live in Kutch. When the Gurudwaras in Lakhpat were damaged by the earthquake, I said that the Gurudwara should be ready in the same way. I am so fond of it. I have done a lot of work to honor the valor of Sikh brothers. Worked for the farmers.
Let us inform that PM Modi had visited Punjab on January 5 but had to return to Delhi without inaugurating development projects and addressing a rally. In fact, in Firozpur, his convoy was stuck on a flyover due to blockade of the road by some protesters. The central government had shown strictness regarding this and sought a report from the state government.
