There will be a holiday on Diwali in New York

For the first time in New York City of America, there will be a holiday in schools on the occasion of Diwali, due to which more than 11 lakh students will be able to celebrate this festival of lights. From this year onwards, Diwali has been declared a holiday in the government schools of New York City. Last year, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul signed a law declaring Diwali a holiday in the city’s public schools. New York City schools will remain closed on November 1 in honor of Diwali.
