According to the Panchang, Apara Ekadashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Jyestha month will begin on May 15, 2023 at 02.46 am and will end on the next day on May 16, 2023 at 01.03 am. Ekadashi fast will be celebrated on this day.

Apara Ekadashi Significance
According to religious belief, the fruit that is obtained by offering Pind Daan to ancestors on the banks of the Ganges, is obtained by fasting on Apara Ekadashi. Visiting Badrinath, donating gold during the solar eclipse gives the same results as fasting on Apara Ekadashi. Apara Ekadashi is also known as Ajala Ekadashi. On the day of Apara Ekadashi, after retiring from bath in the morning, offer bananas, mangoes, yellow flowers, yellow sandalwood, yellow clothes to Sri Hari and Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya chant. Reciting Vishnu Sahastranam on this day brings positive energy in the house. Apply saffron tilak to Sri Hari and then do tika on yourself. On the day of Apara Ekadashi, water service should be done to get rid of unknowingly sins, charity should be done to provide relief to animals, birds and humans from the heat.
