When DP Ojha became a tension for Rabri government, what is the connection with 6th December? know

DP Ojha Passes Away: Famous IPS officer DP Ojha, who was posted as DGP during the rule of Lalu-Rabri Raj, passed away on Friday (06 December). It can be called an important coincidence that 6th December was a very important day in his life. This is because on December 6, 2003, Rabri Devi’s government had removed her from the post of DGP. At that time, DP Ojha had become a tension for the Rabri government. Because DP Ojha had left no stone unturned in cracking down on the then powerful MP Shahabuddin, who was very close to Lalu Prasad Yadav.

DP Ojha, a 1967 batch IPS officer of Bihar cadre, was appointed to the post of DGP on February 1, 2003. He was removed from the post on December 6, 2003, a few months before his scheduled retirement in February 2004. It is also said that the 15-year rule of Lalu-Rabri ended in 2005, but its foundation was laid by DP Ojha after becoming DGP in 2003.

…and the government was disgraced

After assuming the post of DGP, Rabri started analyzing the horoscope of the government. He had revealed about the purchase of AK-47 by Baahubali MP Shahabuddin. After this the government was heavily criticized. DP Ojha had come into limelight. BJP and JDU, which were in opposition at that time, had fiercely cornered the government. Finally the Rabri government had decided to remove DP Ojha from the post of DGP.

He had initiated action against Shahabuddin in which he had submitted a report to the state government. In that report, it was claimed that the MP had links with organizations based in Pakistan. His transfer order was issued immediately after the report.

In the report of DP Ojha, Shahabuddin was accused of purchasing several AK-47s from terrorists operating in Kashmir and selling some of them to Ajay Rai, BJP leader of Kauakol assembly constituency of Varanasi. However, Ajay Rai had denied the allegations against him. This was the same Ajay Rai whom Congress had fielded against PM Modi from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in 2014. He resigned from BJP and joined Congress.
