WhatsApp preparing to bring features like Zoom and Google Meet

WhatsApp is working on many features to improve the user experience. After a new search option and message reaction, WhatsApp is now seen testing a feature that will allow users to create a link to join a call on the messaging app. Earlier, WhatsApp introduced the feature to join in the middle of a group call. Now, it will allow the host to create a link for the WhatsApp call and invite other contacts. It can work almost in the same way as can create a link to a video call (meeting) on ​​Zoom and Google Meet and share it with others.

According to the report, WhatsApp will soon make it easier for people to join calls using the call link. The call host will be able to create links within their contact list and share them with anyone. The link can be shared with people who haven’t been added to your contact list. It is important to note that in order to make calls on WhatsApp using the link, users will need to create an account on WhatsApp if they do not have an account. This is because WhatsApp calls are secured by end-to-end encryption.

This feature will be slightly different from the feature already available on Messenger Rooms. Anyone can join Messenger Rooms, even a non-Facebook user, but WhatsApp calls can only include users who have WhatsApp accounts. The report states that “Since this feature is in development, you cannot create a call link right now, but WhatsApp is working on releasing this feature in a future update.”

The feature is currently being developed by the messaging app and it is not known when it will arrive. Although most of the features that appear during beta test make it to the final update, WhatsApp also removes some features after testing. So don’t get too excited already, give your time to WhatsApp to release the feature.
