UP Nagar Nikay Chuanv 2022: The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court will hear the issue of municipal elections on Thursday as well. In this case, the hearing could not be completed on Wednesday. After which the bench has further extended the ban on issuing notification for conducting elections. However, now the question has started to arise that what will happen if the decision regarding the elections in the state is postponed further, because many petitions have been filed in the court at once.
Justice D.K. Upadhyay and Justice Saurabh Lavania’s bench passed the order on Wednesday to continue the stay on the petitions filed regarding reservation in the municipal elections. In these petitions, the OBC reservation prepared on the basis of rapid survey of the government has been challenged. However, now on Thursday, if the decision does not come after the end of the hearing regarding the election, then the winter vacation will start in the court.
election may be postponed
That is, from December 25, winter vacation is starting in the court. At the same time, many petitions are lying together regarding the municipal elections. Because of this, the hearing is also taking a long time. On the other hand, if the hearing is not completed by Friday, then the next hearing of the matter will be held in January. Because of this, there is a possibility of delaying the body elections.

On the other hand, if the sources are to be believed, if it takes time for the court’s decision to come, then the body elections in the state are likely to be held during March-April next year. However, on the other hand, the Commission is waiting for the decision of the High Court. It is said that the commission has completed its preparations for the elections. If the court’s decision comes, then the commission can announce the election in one to two days.
While the petitions on the basis of which the ban was continued on Wednesday, the OBC reservation prepared on the basis of rapid survey of the government has been challenged. Senior advocate Dr. LP Mishra, appearing for the main petitioner, said that the Supreme Court order states that the state should set up a dedicated commission to study the status of OBCs on the basis of political backwardness. The OBC quota should be fixed on the basis of the report of this commission and other guidelines.
