These 10 Mahavidyas are Maa Kali, Maa Tara, Maa Chinnamasta, Maa Shodashi, Maa Bhuvaneshwari, Maa Tripura Bhairavi, Maa Dhumavati, Maa Baglamukhi, Maa Matangi and Maa Kamla. Gupt Navratri Story

According to the ancient and authentic story related to Gupta Navratri, once Rishi Shringi was giving darshan to the devotees. Only then a woman came out from the crowd and being worried said to Rishi Shringi that my husband is always surrounded by debauchery, due to which I am not able to do any work or worship related to religion and devotion.

Because of her husband, she could not dedicate even food to the sages. But I want to serve Maa Bhagwati and want that my family’s life can be successful with the devotion and meditation of Maa. Sage Shringi was very pleased with the devotion of the woman towards Maa Bhagwati. The sage also told the woman a solution for this. He said that everyone knows about the Navratri in the month of Chaitra and Ashwin. But apart from this, there are two other Navratri, which are called ‘Gupt Navratri’.

The sage told the woman that nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped in Prakat Navratri and the worship of 10 Mahavidyas is important in Gupta Navratri. The name of the main goddess form of these Navratras is Sarvaishwaryakarini Devi. If a devotee worships Goddess Durga during Gupta Navratri, then his life becomes successful.

Rishi Shringi further says that if greedy, lustful, addicted, non-vegetarian and those who are unable to worship for any reason, worship the mother during Gupta Navratri, then they do not need to do anything else. The woman followed this remedy told by sage Shringi with full devotion and worshiped Gupta Navratri. The mother was pleased with the worship of the woman and slowly her life changed. After some time, there was peace and happiness at home and the husband also started walking on the right path. In this way, the life of a woman blossomed again by the worship of Gupta Navratri.
