There should be assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and there is no discussion about Kunda MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, how can this happen. Raja Bhaiya had reached the assembly for the first time in 1993. After that he won elections in 1996, 2002, 2007, 2012 and 2017 also. He has won the election for 6 consecutive times. Raja Bhaiya has been contesting as an independent. He is counted among the Bahubali leaders of the state. This election is special for Raja Bhaiya, because he is contesting for the first time on the banner of his party Jansatta Dal.
Before the election in Kunda, Raja Bhaiya had a special conversation with ABP News’s YouTube channel ‘Uncut’, in which he was questioned about BJP, BSP chief Mayawati and SP President Akhilesh Yadav.
Does Raja Bhaiya’s ideology match with that of BJP?
On this question, Raja Bhaiya said that if our ideology had met BJP, we would have joined BJP. We have our own independent ideology. The people of my area are aware of my ideology.
Did you have any relation with Akhilesh Yadav?
On this question, Raja Bhaiya said that no, I did not have any relation with him. When asked the reason, he said that he should know. Raja Bhaiya said that during the Rajya Sabha elections, we had said that we will defeat the BSP. The old SP leaders were also not happy with the SP-BSP alliance. On one hand, they knew that this alliance would not last long.
How is your relation with Mayawati?
Raja Bhaiya said that I have different reasons for opposing Mayawati and BSP. Regarding Mayawati, Raja Bhaiya said that we do not have a relationship with her. Political opposition is a different matter. We should not go with them politically, it is a different matter. We never spoke lightly for Mayawati. We have had political opposition to him.
