According to News18, Harbhajan Singh said, “I have not left the game of cricket because of Sachin Tendulkar. I wanted to play wearing the number-10 jersey, but I could not do so. But my son will be a bigger player than Sachin Tendulkar in the future.” Whoever will play wearing the ‘number 10’ jersey, I wish that today’s young generation will break the records of all the cricketers in the future. Harbhajan’s son was born in July 2021 and his age is only 3 years, whose name is Jovan Veer Singh Plaha.

The number-10 jersey was retired

Sachin Tendulkar wore the number-10 jersey from the beginning of his international career in 1989 till his retirement in 2013. Since Tendulkar had retired in 2013, there was hope that now a new player would play wearing the ‘number 10’ jersey. But many players continued to refuse to play with this number in honor of Sachin Tendulkar, due to which BCCI had declared the number-10 jersey retired.

Harbhajan Singh’s historical career

Harbhajan Singh made his Test debut for Team India at the age of just 18. He was last seen playing for India in a T20 match in March 2016, but he announced his retirement in December 2021. Bhajji was one of the highest wicket-taker bowlers for Team India in international cricket. Bhajji played a total of 367 matches for India in Test, ODI and T20 formats, in which he took 711 wickets.
