West Bengal Govt: Environment department has been taken from senior West Bengal minister Manas Ranjan Bhunia. According to news agency PTI, the officials said that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took away the portfolio from the minister.
However, Bhunia will continue to handle the Water Resources Investigation and Development Department. Officials said that CM Mamta will now handle the environment department. With this, the Chief Minister will have the responsibility of 9 portfolios including the Home Department.
