Himachal Pradesh Snowfall: After a long wait, the weather has taken a turn in Himachal Pradesh. The first snowfall of the season occurred in different parts of the state on Sunday. The faces of tourists lit up due to snowfall. There was neither rain nor snowfall for almost two months. Snow has fallen in Shimla also. Gardeners and farmers were also waiting for rain and snowfall for two months. After snowfall, Himachal has got relief from drought.
Meteorological Center Shimla had issued a yellow alert of snowfall in high altitude areas on December 8. There is forecast of snowfall in the high altitude areas of Lahaul Spiti, Chamba, Kullu, Kinnaur, Mandi and Shimla at night. There may also be rain in some parts of Solan, Sirmaur and Bilaspur. It will rain with thunder and lightning. There is a possibility of light rain in Una, Hamirpur and Kangra. People have also been requested to keep checking the weather forecast from time to time.

The weather became pleasant due to snowfall
Police has become ready after snowfall in Lahaul Spiti. People trapped in vehicles due to snowfall were rescued. The police conducted a rescue operation and took the people to a safe place. Arrangements for accommodation and food for tourists are also being made by the local administration. In the evening, two vehicles met with an accident at Khangsar turn due to slipping in Lahaul Spiti. It is a matter of relief that there were no casualties in the road accident. Manali-Leh road is currently blocked. The administration has appealed to the people to use the road when necessary. It has also been asked to take precautions while driving on the road. Let us tell you that due to lack of rain and snowfall, farmers including gardeners were worried.
