Weather took a turn in Delhi-NCR, it rained with dusty storm


Delhi NCR Rains: Even in the month of May, the people of North India especially Delhi NCR are feeling the weather like February. On Sunday (May 7), it rained once again in Delhi NCR. After which a further drop in temperature has been recorded. In many areas including Shakarpur, Laxmi Nagar, Mayur Vihar of Delhi, it has rained with dusty storm. The national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 21.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday morning, which is four notches below normal.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted partly cloudy sky and light rain or drizzle at some places. It rained in many parts of Delhi on Saturday as well. During this, the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 20.1 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature at 35.1 degree Celsius. Along with Delhi, it has rained in many other states as well.

It rained in other states of North India as well.

Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, received rain in parts of both the states on Sunday. Due to which a drop in temperature was recorded. The State Meteorological Department gave this information. According to the Meteorological Department, it rained in parts of Chandigarh, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Mohali and Rupnagar. On the other hand, Rohtak, Bhiwani and Jhajjar of Haryana also received light rain in the morning. According to the department, even a few days ago, there was rain in many parts of Punjab and Haryana due to which the maximum temperature was recorded below normal.

Snowfall in Himachal Pradesh

Apart from this, after snowfall in the tribal-dominated hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh and intermittent rains in many parts, winter-like conditions have again prevailed in the state. Gondla and Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district received 5.5 cm and 3.2 cm of snow, while Chamba’s Bharmour received the highest rainfall of 30 mm, followed by Jogindernagar in Mandi at 19 mm and Banjar in Kullu at 18.2 mm. Due to fresh snowfall and rain in the state, the minimum temperature has recorded a drop of two to eight degrees Celsius from normal.
