But his performance in the second test held in Adelaide was not as per expectations. Kohli could score only 7 runs in the first innings and 11 runs in the second innings. In the second test match, India had to face a crushing defeat by 10 wickets within three days.

Virat Kohli’s career in Test cricket has been brilliant. In 120 Test matches, he has scored 9,163 runs at an average of 47.72, which includes 30 centuries and 31 half-centuries. However, his form has been full of ups and downs in the last few years. His form was poor in 2021, when he scored only 536 runs in 11 matches at an average of 28.21. His performance in 2022 was also average, but in 2023 he made a great comeback and scored 671 runs at an average of 55.91, which included two centuries.
