Brendan Julian said in a media interview, “The way Virat Kohli got out against New Zealand – his dismissal like that in that Test series was surprising. Kohli is not in his best form. Perhaps his coordination between the captain and the coach. But, if the team’s performance declines in Perth, I think it will be over.

There has been a dispute between Virat and Gambhir before also

The old dispute between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir is not hidden from anyone. There were long standing differences between the two players, which were seen resolved by hugging on stage during IPL 2024. This moment signaled improvement in their relationship and both resolved to take Indian cricket forward in a new way. According to reports, BCCI had also consulted Kohli before appointing Gambhir as the coach, so that any kind of controversy does not become a hindrance in future.
