Uttarakhand: Tension regarding Mahapanchayats is increasing in the politics of Uttarakhand. The harsh rhetoric between Congress and BJP leaders has increased the political heat in the state. Congress accused the BJP government of communal polarization and disobeying the orders of the Nainital High Court, while the BJP termed it as appeasement politics of the Congress.
