US Supreme Court orders temporary stay on ban on abortion pill

US Abortion Pills Law: US Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito temporarily halted lower court abortion rulings. This decision was to prevent the abortion pill mifepristone from being used. After this, the US Supreme Court now has time to decide what to do next with respect to the lower court’s decisions.

The legal battle over the drug began when a federal judge in Texas ordered a nationwide ban on mifepristone. In which it was said that the medicine was being used to kill the child before it was born.

Decision to ban mifepristone drug
Federal judges in Texas and Washington, USA, on March 7, ruled to ban the drug mifepristone. Mifepristone is a commonly used drug for abortion. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of America has approved the use of Mifepristone tablets. States that have banned abortion in America are considering measures to stop the delivery of pills.

At the same time, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that in the face of ongoing attacks on women’s health, the stakes of the fight to ban the drug cannot be high.

Danko Laboratories, the company that manufactures the Mifepristone drug, had also asked some questions to the Supreme Court in a separate file to stay the decisions of the lower courts. At the same time, anti-abortion activists are lobbying to ban the drug.

They claim that it is unsafe and should be completely controlled or banned. They say that the use of the drug can cause health risks. Due to this, the blood flow increases and the risk of infection also increases.
