UP Election: SP Singh Baghel narrated the full story of the attack on his convoy, know what happened


MoS SP Singh Baghel’s Convoy Attacked In Mainpuri: The convoy of Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Satya Pal Singh Baghel was attacked with stones and sticks on Tuesday evening near Attikullapur village in Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh. Police said that a case has been registered. Mainpuri Police tweeted on Tuesday, “Union Minister SP Baghel’s convoy was attacked with stones and sticks this evening near Attikullapur village under Karhal police station. A case is being registered and the minister is fine.”

Let us inform that SP Baghel is the BJP candidate from Karhal assembly constituency, from where Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav is also contesting the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Speaking to news agency ANI, SP Singh Baghel said, “During the election campaign today, when I was going from Kabrai to Karhal via Attikullapur, suddenly some people came out of the fields and attacked me. They were raising slogans of ‘Akhilesh Bhaiya Zindabad’ when they attacked. They had sticks and iron rods.”

He further told that a person had said that “the minister should not be spared today.” He said, “A person said that he is Umakant Yadav, said that you are contesting against our leader. He further Said that today the minister should not be spared and then attacked. When the security of my convoy got down from the car, they (the attackers) ran away. Then one of them (of the attackers) opened fire on one of the cars of the convoy Gave.”

Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has accused Samajwadi Party chief and candidate from Karhal seat in UP elections Akhilesh Yadav of attacking BJP candidate SP Singh Baghel. He claimed that SP Singh Baghel, the BJP candidate from Karhal seat, was attacked by SPA goons.
