Unnao police arrested two thieves with drugs worth 30 lakhs, stolen bike also recovered

Unnao Police: Unnao’s Achalganj police arrested two inter-district vicious thieves on the inputs and informer information received from surveillance. Police recovered intoxicants worth 30 lakh “smack” from the thieves. Apart from this, 7 stolen bikes and one scooty were recovered. An accomplice of the caught thieves is already in jail, who is said to be a member of this gang. The SP disclosed the entire incident in the Police Line Auditorium. Along with the praise of the police team that made the disclosures, a reward of 10 thousand rupees was announced.

300 grams of smack seized

Unnao SP Dinesh Tripathi disclosed the good work done by the Achalganj police in the Police Line Auditorium. He told that on the Azad Marg bypass on Lucknow-Kanpur National Highway, Achalganj Inspector Arvind Pandey, outpost in-charge Prem Narayan Saroj were present on the highway along with constable Vishnu Kumar. During this, on the information of the informer, the police arrested Sushil Gupta and Lalit Bajpai, residents of Bindanagar of Gangaghat Kotwali area near Azad Marg intersection. During the search of the accused, 300 grams of smack and stolen bike were recovered.

8 stolen bikes recovered

On rigorous interrogation, the incidents of theft were confessed. 8 stolen bikes were recovered from different places on the spot. Many cases of theft are registered against Lalit Bajpai and Suraj Gupta, both the accused caught with stolen vehicles, in other non-districts including Unnao, Lucknow, Kanpur. It is said that both are inter-state bike thieves and the search for their gang leader is going on. The SP told that the market price of 300 grams of narcotic substance “Smack” is more than Rs 30 lakh.

Police are investigating

Now, where it used to come from, where it used to supply, in-depth investigation is also being done to find it. The arresting team has registered a case under the NDPS Act against both the accused in the police station Achalganj. Arpit Singh alias Shiv Bahadur Singh resident of Munaukheda police station Bihar is also the leader of this gang who is currently lodged in jail. The SP praised the police team who made the arrest and announced a reward.
