To avoid this disease.
What is sickle cell anemia?
Interestingly, the disease of sickle cell anemia is hereditary. After one member of the family comes under its grip, other members also gradually fall in the grip of the disease, but by the time the family gets to know about it, it is too late. Therefore, through awareness, tribal families can be kept away from the disease of sickle cell anemia. Sickle cell anemia is a type of blood disorder in which red blood cells turn into a C shape, crescent or sickle shape. This disease also surrounds children.
In the convocation ceremony of Rani Durgavati University, Governor Mangu Bhai Patel had expressed concern about the growing effect of the genetic disease sickle cell in the tribal society and stressed on efforts towards its prevention. He said that along with the government, universities should also campaign for this at their level. Every university of the state can make effective efforts towards prevention of sickle cell by adopting 5-5 villages.
