Putin to stop soldiers from attacking Ukraine
Earlier, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned that the world was facing an unprecedented crisis in recent times. He warned Russia that it was violating UN principles by recognizing Donetsk and Lugansk as separate regions of Ukraine. Expressing serious concern over the latest developments at the General Assembly meeting regarding the Ukraine crisis, Antonio Guterres asked Vladimir Putin to maintain peace. US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield also urged the Russian president not to attack Ukraine and maintain peace.
Putin orders military action against Ukraine
According to the news agency AFP, Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered military action against Ukraine. Also called on the Ukrainian army to lay down arms. Although Vladimir Putin has said that Russia has no plans to annex Ukraine, Russia will respond quickly to any external threat. Amidst the crisis, Ukraine declared a nationwide state of emergency on Wednesday. The emergency session of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is currently going on regarding the Ukraine crisis.
