Maharashtra News: The Supreme Court’s decision on the Maharashtra government may come on Thursday. Meanwhile, a delegation of Shiv Sena (UBT) led by former minister Aditya Thackeray met Governor Ramesh Bais at Raj Bhavan. During this meeting, the delegation drew the attention of the Governor to the fact that Mumbai does not have an elected body of representatives for more than a year. Significantly, the election of BMC has not been announced yet.
These leaders were involved in the delegation
The delegation along with Aaditya Thackeray included Shiv Sena UBT MPs Priyanka Chaturvedi, Arvind Sawant, Anil Parab, Sunil Prabhu, Ajay Chowdhary, Anil Desai and others. An official letter has been issued by the party regarding this meeting.
In this letter, the BCM administration has been targeted and allegations of corruption have been made. It added, “The dictatorial attitude of the BMC administration and the blatant corruption in which it is involved is a matter of concern for us Mumbaikars. In the last 9 months, representatives and former representatives of all parties have raised questions about financial mismanagement, favoring contractors And has pointed out the irregularities of BMC in terms of complete chaotic administration. This includes Road Mega Tender Scam, Gravel Monopoly Scam, Street Furniture Scam, Sanitary Pad Vending Machine Scam.”
Apart from these allegations, displeasure was also expressed over the fact that no one listened to their voices. In a letter to the governor, Aaditya Thackeray claimed, “Unfortunately, no voice was heard at any official level. Neither did we get any official response from Chahal (Iqbal Singh Chahal, BMC commissioner) on any of our queries.” Nor has any media person or citizen received any reply to their queries.” Shiv Sena (UBT) has appealed to the Governor to conduct an independent, fair and transparent inquiry into the matter.
