Bronx Apartment Fire: Fire has created havoc in America for the last several days. Hundreds of houses in Los Angeles were destroyed by wildfire. In the latest development, a massive fire broke out in a Bronx apartment in New York on Friday (January 10, 2025). 7 people have been injured. The fire was so severe that 200 fire brigade personnel have reached the spot, currently the work of extinguishing the fire is going on.
A six-storey residential building was engulfed in flames due to strong winds. The New York Fire Department says high wind conditions escalated the fire to five alarm within an hour. This is the highest level of alarm indicating a large and widespread fire. It often includes several buildings.
Firefighters also included among the injured
The seven people injured in the fire include two civilians and five firefighters. According to the New York Post, a civilian refused to be taken to the hospital and was treated at the scene. A resident told ABC7 New York that firefighters asked everyone to evacuate because the fire was through the roof. Many people, including firefighters, had trouble breathing due to the smoke, while 100 people are feared to have been displaced.
“Everyone just grabbed whatever they could and we got out of the building,” Jenny said. “I expected there to be a lot of smoke inside the building, given what it was like outside the building.” Was.”

When Mayor Eric Adams and other officials were briefing reporters at the scene around 9 a.m. Friday, parts of the building were still smoldering. “Thank God there were no fatal injuries but it was a massive fire and the wind played a significant role in the situation we are facing,” he said.
Curfew imposed in Los Angeles
LA County Sheriff Robert Luna confirmed that a nightly curfew is in effect in areas affected by the fires, warning that people breaking the curfew will be arrested. A nightly curfew has been imposed in fire-hit areas of LA as police fear looting.
