Follow the rules of TCCCPR-2018

TRAI has directed telecom companies to take action under the Telecom Commercial Communication Consumer Preference Regulations, 2018 (TCCCPR-2018). As per the rules, it is mandatory to display the headers in the telemarketing message along with the mobile number.

In its order, TRAI has asked telecom companies to make changes in the code of practice at the earliest. The regulator said that messages sent to users should be as per the TCCCPR 2018 rules. Now, TRAI has given 30 days time to the telecom companies to implement it.

Verify content template

TRAI said that it seems that users are confused between message title and headers. Companies should adopt an online method to provide different headers to reactive headers for messages. TRAI has asked all telecom companies to re-verify the content template.
