Tragic road accident in UP, 5 people of same family returning from marriage killed, 10 injured

UP Road Accident: In Uttar Pradesh, on the Bahraich-Lucknow highway, five people died on the spot after a tempo collided with a dumper coming from the front near Madani Hospital under Kaisarganj police station area. 10 others were injured. CM Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over this road accident. At the same time, the injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Police said that all the five people killed in the accident belonged to the same family and they were returning home after attending a marriage function. According to police sources, 15 residents of Ahiranpurwa of Huzurpur police station area were returning home by tempo late on Thursday night after offering tilak of their daughter in Ruknapur village of Kaiserganj police station area. He told that around 12 o’clock in the night his tempo reached near Madani Hospital, then the dumper driver coming from the front hit the tempo and fled from the spot.

According to sources, Bhagwan Prasad (40), Anil (15), Khushbu (35), Harish (45) and Jayakaran (40) died on the spot in the accident, while Nanhe, Sunita Devi, Chandan, Satyam, Rajitram , Mangal, Kailash, Ramdin, Nandlal and Pradeep were seriously injured. Sources said that all the injured were taken to the nearby Government Community Health Center, but in view of their critical condition, the doctors referred them to the Medical College.

According to sources, the search for the absconding dumper driver is on and the police is probing the incident and taking legal action. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the road accident in Bahraich by tweeting. Wishing peace to the departed souls, he has expressed condolences to the bereaved family members. The Chief Minister has instructed the officials of the district administration to speed up the relief work and ensure proper treatment of the injured.
