Monsoon Rainfall: The sky storm has created havoc. Due to torrential rains, there is a spate in the rivers. There has been flood in Beas, Sutlej, Yamuna and Ravi rivers. In some areas too, the rains have created flood-like conditions. Roads have become swimming pools in many parts. Cloudbursts, landslides and floods have claimed many lives in Himachal Pradesh. Due to torrential rains in the states, the situation has become uncontrollable. Vehicles are seen floating on the roads like boats. NDRF teams are rescuing people at some places.
The department has issued an alert in many states including Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh. Due to the rains in the national capital, the authorities have warned about the rising water level of the Yamuna. Many pilgrims drowned in the Ganges after a vehicle fell into the river in Uttarakhand. The rains in the national capital on Saturday, July 8, broke the record of the last 40 years.

flood like situation in punjab
In Punjab too, the rain has created a flood-like situation. Due to heavy rains, many low-lying areas of the state were flooded on Sunday, July 9. People faced long jam. Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar and Mohali have been affected due to rain. Flood like situation was witnessed in Dera Bassi area. NDRF teams are conducting rescue operations after heavy rains caused flooding of residential buildings in Dera Bassi. Chandigarh received maximum rainfall in a single day in 23 years.

Chances of rain in Delhi for the next two days
The highest rainfall in a single day in 40 years in the national capital has troubled the people. The Meteorological Department has predicted more torrential rain for the next two days. Parks, underpasses, markets and hospitals were submerged due to heavy rains. Videos and pictures of people wading through knee-deep water went viral on social media. Water has been filled up to the knees in many places, due to which the videos of people passing by are becoming increasingly viral on social media. One such video of the national capital is going viral. In which a part of the road was sunken and people were passing by.

In the video, the local people are seen trying to save the passengers. The rains have created havoc in Himachal Pradesh. Videos of many places in the state are going viral, in which NDRF teams are conducting rescue operations.
