‘Totka’ thrown in Azam Khan’s house, lost consciousness when the pot was opened, accused arrested

Azam Khan Case: Police has arrested a person in the case of throwing a potli in the house of senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and former state minister Azam Khan. Apart from this, orders have also been given to suspend four policemen who were negligent in security.

SP Ashok Kumar Shukla told on Friday night that the person who threw the potli in Azam Khan’s house is mentally weak. He made a bundle after collecting garbage and such clothes from the surroundings at one place and then threw it in their house. The accused has been sent to a psychiatric hospital for treatment.

Azam Khan has Y category security

The SP said that Azam Khan has Y-category security and a guard is posted at his house. In such a situation, orders have been given to suspend four policemen who were negligent in security due to the incident of throwing the potli.

The accused was seen in the CCTV footage

Earlier, police sources had told that on Thursday a person threw a bundle wrapped in black foil at Azam Khan’s residence and it is being told that red cloth and witchcraft-related material were found in it. The person who threw this bundle was visible in the footage of the CCTV camera installed in Khan’s house. Khan’s wife and former MP Dr. Tazeen Fatima has written a letter to the SP of Rampur, expressing the possibility of conspiracy behind this incident. Fatima questioned in her letter that when there is 24-hour Y-category security at her residence, how did this incident happen, she wrote in the letter, “The administration which ruined Rampur by filing countless false cases can go to any extent.” Is.”

Police took the bundle in their possession

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Dr. Sansar Singh said that information was received late on Thursday night that a bundle had been thrown at Azam Khan’s residence and that bundle contained a cap and some clothes. According to the CCTV camera footage, the incident took place at 6.17 am. He told that the police have taken the bundle in their possession.

Legislator went after punishment last days

Significantly, Azam Khan has been MP from Rampur parliamentary constituency and MLA from Rampur assembly constituency for 10 times, but he was sentenced by a local court here in the case of giving provocative speech in the past, after being sentenced, his membership of the assembly was cancelled.
