West Bengal Panchayat Elections Violence: Violence has taken place at many places during the filing of nominations for the Panchayat elections in West Bengal. During this, a TMC leader was also murdered in Malda. In this matter, the State Election Commission has sought a report from the DM. Former panchayat head and TMC leader Mustafa Sheikh has been murdered in Sujapur, Malda. His family has accused local Congress leaders of his murder.
An accused has been arrested in this case. After this murder, TMC also blocked the road in protest. TMC MLA Sabina Yesmin said that this is a political murder. Those who want to eliminate TMC from the grassroots level were not given ticket, they joined Congress and got ticket. After this they started creating nuisance and started spreading terror in the area. Today they killed former Pradhan Mustafa Sheikh. A complaint has been given to the administration and the Election Commission.
Violence over panchayat elections in West Bengal
A total of 2,36,464 nomination papers have been filed for about 74,000 seats in the Panchayat elections to be held in West Bengal on July 8. According to the news agency PTI, during the filing of nomination papers for the election, violence at many places has resulted in the death of five people and injuries to many people. Apart from this, the convoy of Union Minister Nisith Pramanik has also been allegedly attacked in Coochbehar district of Bengal on Saturday.

Trinamool workers thrashed our party workers and nomination papers of our candidates were destroyed. Accusing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of violence, the BJP has demanded her arrest.
