Tinka Tinka Madhya Pradesh – A light to bring light in jails

There are total 14 people. 12 men and two women. No one knew these names until recently. He was first recognized by the society as a criminal. Then the second identity was created when he was sent to jail and after this, apart from the identity of the prisoner number, almost every other identity got destroyed.

But now a new introduction has been made for all these and this introduction is – Tinka Tinka Madhya Pradesh. There are some similarities among all these 14 people. All these 14 people are lodged in different jails of Madhya Pradesh. All of them are serving a sentence in jail because of some crime of theirs. The day the prison gate closed, it was as if the society left him beyond its memory.

These 14 people had also accepted their lost identity, but this year brought a new Aadhaar card in their lives. Its basis became the Yagya, of which all of them were made a part. This is – Tinka Tinka Madhya Pradesh. These 14 people are the narrators of this experiment. But there is another important end to this story. This also includes 4 children and a sentinel. Three of these children were born in jail itself. He had no connection with the real house. They have developed the habit of looking at life through these bars. There is no discussion anywhere about such children who come to jail without any crime. He is also the narrator of this book.

The first of its kind true story of any prison in the world, created with these 19 storytellers – Tinka Tinka Madhya Pradesh. By joining forces with Tinka Tinka, he has created a new light.

This journey started in 2017. Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Maheshwar, Gwalior – many jails were carefully observed to search for prisoners who wanted to rewrite their lives, who had some skill but were not aware of that skill themselves. All that information was taken from the jails which were covered with web. The work on this historical document began by drawing pictures with a pencil on a blank page.

It was decided that although Bandi would do the work of coloring it, first the rough outline of the image to be created would have to be drawn on paper. I kept making rough signs with pencil. The blueprint continued to be made. Then those papers were handed over to the prisoners who painted from jail to jail. The prisons gave him all the colors that were appropriate for a book of this type. Also given paper, pen and given the courage again and again to fill the blank canvas with the colors of their choice. That’s what happened.

This saga of jails was divided into 9 parts. The story of prisons was woven into each part through colors and photographs. In this attempt to create a rainbow inside the prisons, many elements were added in the name of craftsmanship in prisons, nation-building in prisons, creation happening in prisons and bars absorbing the past. A section was also kept for those who have some regrets. Alas in the fist, through the big sky in front, the opening windows of change in the jails were seen while exploring every nook and corner of the jails.
Apart from other stories, there was another challenge here. All those who painted were men.

It was as if the women who used to be enthralled with colors in real life had broken their connection with colors inside the jail. Now this relationship had to be strengthened. In all these jails, almost every woman received a request that if they wanted, they could make a picture of their broken glass bangle or a broken Mangalsutra or the shadow of their hands and feet from the ala. Due to this repeated request, pictures started coming. Tinka Tinka’s resolution was fulfilled.

Efforts are on to bring change in jails through colors, photographs, poems and open words. If you want, keep lamps here. Try keeping a lamp in the name of the jail on Diwali. The jail will definitely be filled with light, the darkness and depression in your own mind will be reduced.
