Three-storey building collapsed in Gujarat’s Jamgar, three people died, CM announced compensation

Gujarat Building Collapsed: A three-storey building collapsed on Friday in Jamnagar city of Gujarat. Three people died and five people were injured in this accident. Municipal Commissioner DN Modi confirmed the death of three people. He said that the Gujarat Housing Board had repeatedly warned people against living in this apartment as it had been declared unsafe. He said that the rescue operation is still going on.

CM announced compensation

Expressing grief over this incident, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel has announced compensation. He tweeted, “I am deeply saddened by the collapse of a residential building in Jamnagar. I express my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased who lost their lives in this accident. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. State The family of the deceased will get Rs 4 lakh and the injured will get Rs 50,000 from the government.

The building was built three decades ago

Earlier, four people were rescued safely in the rescue operation conducted by the fire brigade, while the local residents claimed that eight to ten people could be buried under the debris. An official said, “A three-storey residential building in Sadhna Colony collapsed in the evening. The operation is on and four people have been rescued. The building was constructed by the Gujarat Housing Board about three decades ago.
