Those withdrawing money from Aadhar Card beware! One mistake and your entire account will be empty


These days you will find many such shops in the market, where it is written ‘Money is withdrawn from Aadhaar card’. If you go to these shops and want to withdraw money from your Aadhar card, the person sitting there will take your Aadhar card from you and will withdraw the money from your account and give it to you. The shopkeeper charges a few rupees for this. However, as easy and safe as it looks, it is not so in reality. Especially if you are outside in a city then stay away from this.

How to withdraw money from Aadhar Card?

Actually, National Payments Corporation of India i.e. NPCI provides the facility of Aadhaar Enabled Payment System i.e. AIPS. In simple language, if your Aadhaar card is linked to your bank account, then you can withdraw money from your account only with the help of Aadhaar card without ATM card.

For this you have to go to a micro ATM. Where you can withdraw money from your bank account by using your Aadhar card and fingerprint. Not only does the bank do this work, but some shopkeepers, whom you can also call banking correspondents, also do this. This service is for those who live in remote areas and do not have access to smartphones, internet connection or traditional banking services.

How does fraud happen?

Recently an incident took place in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. In a village in Ghorawal Kotwali area here, two people had cheated a person of Rs 15,000 in the name of withdrawing money from Aadhaar card. In this case, the police had told that the victim Shivnarayan Vishwakarma went to a shopkeeper (banking representative) present in his village who works to withdraw money from Aadhaar card. Going there he gave his Aadhar card and talked about withdrawing money.

Lavkush Yadav and Manoj Yadav, who were withdrawing money from Aadhar card, took the Aadhar card from the victim and got his thumb impression on the machine. But, the money did not come out. The victim was told that the server was down. This was done to him twice. But, when the victim got his passbook printed after a few days, he found out that Rs 15,000 had been withdrawn from his account on the same day. Police arrested both the accused in this case.
