Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Maulana Arshad Madani has welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court regarding the Places of Worship Act. Madani said that this will put a stop to those spreading unrest.
The Supreme Court, while hearing the petitions filed against the Places of Worship Act on Thursday, has stayed the filing of any new case regarding the temple-mosque dispute till the next date. Along with this, the court said that the lower courts should not even order a survey at this time. Maulana Arshad Madani called it a big decision. He said that it is hoped that this will curb those spreading communalism and unrest in the country.
What did Owaisi say on the Supreme Court’s decision?
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, this is a good decision, we hope that there will be no riots now. The lower courts will accept the decision of the Supreme Court. Whatever happened in Sambhal was very sad, innocent people were killed there.
What order did the Supreme Court give?
Maulana Mahmood Madani, president of petitioner Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, said that our aim is to protect peace and order in this country. Hearing the petition of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani and others, today the Supreme Court has issued instructions to all the courts of the country that till the next order of the Supreme Court comes, there should be no closure of any place of worship in the country. No new case will be registered against (mosque, temple and dargah). The court further said that in the pending cases (like Gyanvapi Masjid, Mathura Shahi Eidgah, Sambhal Jama Masjid etc.) no court will issue any order of survey nor pass any such interim decision which would affect the condition of the place of worship. . The direction of the Supreme Court has dealt a severe blow to those people who were looking for a temple behind every mosque.
